Functions of the CPs

The functions of the Contact Points are described in Article 4 of the EJN Decision.

1. The Contact Points shall be active intermediaries with the task of facilitating judicial cooperation. And they shall assist in establishing direct contacts between the competent authorities in the Member States.
2. They shall also provide legal practitioners with legal and practical information necessary to prepare a request for judicial cooperation.
3. Finally the Contact Points shall be involved in and promote training on judicial cooperation
