EJN Presidency Board meeting and 46th EJN Regular meeting

On 13 February, the EJN held its 46th EJN Regular meeting in The Hague under the Polish EJN Presidency. Approximately 60 EJN Contact Points from the EU and EU candidate/associated countries attended the meeting and exchanged information on recent legislative developments in their countries related to judicial cooperation. In addition, the meeting was an opportunity to address some practical and legal challenges in the cooperation, such as videoconference hearings and non-conviction based confiscations.

On the other hand, the EJN Secretariat provided the Contact Points with an update on the various projects where the EJN is involved as well as on cooperation with EU Institutions, EJN partners and regional judicial networks. Furthermore, the EJN discussed the state of play on administrative matters and on the EJN website related projects.

The meeting was preceded by an open session of the EJN Presidency Board meeting, being the entity steering the work of the Network. The current composition of the EJN Presidency Board is consisted of the Contact Points representing the Presidencies of the Council of the EU, Poland, Hungary and Denmark and the elected EJN National Correspondents. The EJN Presidency Board held an extended meeting, involving also Ireland and Cyprus in view of their upcoming Presidencies in 2026.
