Grants awarded 2025

Dear EJN Contact Points,

in line with the procedure described in the calls for proposals for funding for the organisation of Meetings of the Contact Points in the Member States - Regional and National meetings - 2025, the Evaluation Committee has assessed the proposals that were received within the deadline for application, as published on the EJN website.

The EJN Secretariat would like to inform that the Authorising Officer, as per recommendation of the Evaluation Committee, has decided to award a maximum of 5.000 EUR per meeting and up to 95% of the eligible costs for the organization of the following meetings:

LITHUANIA

 

National meeting of EJN Contact Points of Lithuania - the Role of EJN in Legal Cooperation: Turning Awareness into Action.

THE NETHERLANDS

 

National Meeting of the Dutch EJN Contact Points combined with the Belgian EJN Contact Points to discuss the topics:
1) EAW in combination with TROP request relating to juvenile offenders,
2) the new TROP Regulation and
3) the national procedure of an EIO and the temporary transfer of the seized documents/goods, best practices.

 

SLOVENIA

 

EJN Regional meeting from 17th to 19th September 2025 in Novo mesto, Slovenia.

CZECH REPUBLIC

 

Evidence gathering in a foreign state - specific issues related to the recording of monitored conversations of persons and the recovery of data from seized electronic devices.

BELGIUM

 

EJN National Meeting Belgium: mutual legal assistance with Spain and Latin-American countries.

IRELAND

 

Inaugural Meeting of the Irish National Contact Points.

FRANCE

 

The annual meeting of the EJN French contact points.

FINLAND

 

To strengthen cooperation with Sweden while applying EU-instruments with special focus on crimes committed aboard ferries operating between Finland and Sweden. The meeting also aims to strengthen the Finnish participants' professional identities as EJN contact points.

 

LATVIA

 

Current Challenges in the application of the Mutual Recognition Principle in Financial Penalties and Probation Measures: Assessing the Effectiveness of Decentralization in Latvia.

AUSTRIA

 

Emerging Challenges of cross-border Investigations in the Fight against Cybercrime and the Role of the EJN.

HUNGARY

 

Illegal migrant smuggling, issues concerning jurisdiction, parallel criminal proceeding, extradition and surrender, transfer of sentenced persons.

FINLAND

 

EJN National and regional meeting/Finland, Helsinki 10-11.6.2025: Cooperation between the participants (Baltic States) regarding application of EU instruments:

- Further training of FI contact points in international cooperation and the role of the EJN contact points;
- Enhancing the use of direct contacts and EJN in cases that do not fall in the duties of Eurojust.

 

 

Further, the proposal listed below shall remain on the reserve list and will receive financing only if there will be funds available from the above-mentioned meetings.

Call for Applications for Financial Assistance regarding the organisation of EJN Regional and EJN National Meetings 2025

Dear EJN Contact Points,

Please find below the call for proposals for financial assistance for the organisation of EJN Meeting in the Member States - Regional and National meetings 2025.

The period for the meetings is between 7 April and 10 October 2025, therefore applications for financial assistance of the meeting taking place before and after this period will not be taken into consideration.

Should you be interested in applying, please read carefully the enclosed documents with the instructions and make sure to provide all the requested information.

Please note that in 2025 the maximum amount of EUR 5.000 may be awarded as financial assistance per Meeting as per Annual Work Programme of the EJN Secretariat.

At least three weeks before the commencement of the action all successful applicants have to submit by E-mail to the EJN Secretariat the Final Draft Budget Estimate with all the supporting documents and the Final Agenda of the Meeting (see: point 8 of Call for Proposals).

The deadline for applications is 17 February 2025.
